A Fun Morning of Photography

On a recent morning walk I visited Fernhill House & Gardens, a former family residence on 34 hectares of land, situated on the outskirts of Dublin city. The small estate dates back to around 1823 and it is now a Public Park, comprising heritage buildings, gardens, parkland, mature woodland, agricultural land, a number of walks and a recently completed woodland adventure playground.

My intention was to have a fun morning of photography, with no pressure to come home with great images. I just wanted to have a relaxing walk and to take pictures of anything that drew my attention.

To keep my photography really simple I took one prime lens.

Here are some images from the morning:

Even though I didn't capture any outstanding photos, I didn't mind because my goal was to enjoy using my camera, and I certainly did. Moreover, this trip has inspired me to explore more nearby locations and to revisit Fernhill with a selection of lenses to delve into the woodland and macro opportunities.
